Emergencies:
Should your pet develop any health condition during his/her stay, which in our professional opinion requires veterinary care, you as Owner authorize us to take your pet to a veterinarian. We will attempt to take your pet to your veterinarian if he/she is available. You will be notified of this and of any problems and assume all veterinarian and transportation charges.
Feeding:
We board many animals and it is very important to us that your pet gets the correct type and correct amount of food during their entire stay. If you would like to bring your own food there are a few rules to help ensure the efficiency of our feeding procedures.
You may bring your pet's food from home at no extra cost. However, we ask that all food brought from home is individually packaged and labeled per pet, per meal, per day. Due to storage limitations we no longer accept food bins, Tupperware containers, or large bags of dog food, unless otherwise approved ahead of time.
If you do not bring your pets food, we feed our canine guests “Fromm Adult Chicken & Rice” diet during their stay with us. Our feline guests are fed “Fromm Game Bird” cat food, “Surf & Turf”, or a similar alternative Adult cat food. (wet and dry varieties available). This is an easily digested diet and highly rated brands of food. It is always best to bring your own pet's regular diet to be fed while boarding to avoid digestive issues. We are equipped to be able to refrigerate food as well as microwave it.

Fleas:
All animals that come to Lakeside Pet Resort are screened for fleas and other health anomalies at the time of arrival. Depending on the severity of the infestation an all-natural medicated bath could be given to remove the fleas from the pet. The use of a Capstar Flea Tablet could be another option as well. We will do our best to reach you at the phone numbers you provide for us before any method is applied. Please be aware that any such treatments are not guaranteed 100% effective. These are only intermediate remedies and are not means of preventive care in any way. The costs of the treatment(s) will be added to your current bill.
Grooming:
Lakeside Pet Resort provides a full spectrum of grooming services. If it is discovered that your pet is severely matted we may deem it necessary to shave or dematt and that these procedures may have unpleasant consequences such as clipper burn, brush burn, or nicks and cuts. We will do our best to get into contact with you before any of these actions are taken. Lakeside Pet Resort will use all precautions during these procedures but will not be held responsible for the aforementioned side effects.
If your dog and/or cat is found to be infested with fleas, Lakeside will treat as they deem necessary. See more info about this in the ‘Fleas’ section above.

|
Check-In
You can drop off at any time during our open hours. The time of drop off does not effect the cost of boarding. You will be charged a full days rate for the arrival day regardless of the time you bring your pet to us. We ask for any animals that are dropped off after 5:00pm to be fed at home if they normally eat in the PM. This helps prevent the risk of over-night messes that can come about being fed so close to our closing hours.
Check-Out
Checking out can be done any time between 8:00am and 6:00pm Monday - Saturday and between 11:00am and 5:30pm on Sunday. The day of departure is added to the total boarding cost as a full day rate. If you check out before 12:00pm you will not be charged for the final day. If you schedule any bathing or grooming for your pet to be done on the day of departure you will not be charged for that days boarding, regardless of the time you pick up.

Remaining balances are due at the time of pick-up. You are able to call in a card number over the phone to pre-pay at any time during your stay. It is possible that due to the nature of grooming, an exact total will not be able to be determined before the grooming takes place.
Vaccinations:
We require proof of current Rabies vaccination only. For all other vaccinations your veterinarian's protocol will be followed. We strongly recommend that no vaccinations be given within 14 days of boarding because they will not provide any protection for your pet during their stay and side effects from receiving the vaccination should be avoided when boarding.
NOTE: We cannot accept a dog that received intranasal or oral (live virus) Bordetella vaccine within 14 days of it's stay because of a risk of transmission of the virus to other boarders.
